OUR WORK
End-of-Life/Estate Planning Event
The Measure You Give hostedan educational event was held to emphasize the importance of proactive planning for one’s future and the well-being of loved ones. Jennifer Norton, Estate and Elder Law Attorney, delivered a comprehensive overview of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and key financial literacy principles essential for effective asset protection. Jennifer Richardson-Jones of Crown Hill Cemetery provided an in-depth presentation on burial options and end-of-life planning, offering guidance designed to promote clarity and peace of mind. Attendees engaged in thoughtful discussion, received expert answers to their questions, and departed with enhanced understanding and confidence in making well-informed decisions for the future.

Summer Jump Off
This summer, The Measure You Give hosted our first-ever Summer Jump Off, bringing the community together for a fun-filled day of music, a bounce house, a donation-based car wash, and delicious hot dog combos. More community members than vendors purchased tables to sell items, making it truly a neighborhood event, and the day ended with one exciting raffle for a 55-inch TV. We look forward to making this a yearly tradition to celebrate community and support our mission!

Holiday Help
This past Christmas season, The Measure You Give had the joy of spreading holiday cheer by donating $50 gift cards to individuals and families in our community. We handed out 30 gift cards at Walmart and Citi Trends, helping parents buy gifts for their children, families stock up on essentials, and loved ones share in the holiday spirit. For us, it wasn’t just about the gift cards—it was about reminding people that they are cared for and supported, especially during a time that can be challenging for many. This simple act of giving brought smiles, relief, and a sense of hope to those we were able to serve.
